Bowood House
We will be demonstrating at the Craft village in the Wiltshire Game and Country Fair - 2010 in Bowood House. The entrance to the Craft Village is directly off the main show arena. There will be a number of demonstration features in the centre arena of which will be surrounded by four Craft Marquees of nationally selected Artists, Designers and Craftsman and the rural crafts demonstration marquee. Bowood is considered to be one of Wiltshire’s greatest hidden treasures, Bowood House & Gardens is open to visitors between April and November. For those wishing to escape into an oasis of outstanding natural beauty, the”Capability” Brown grounds designed in 1762 provides a soothing retreat from the modern world. Boasting an extensive arboretum and pinetum, including 11 champion trees with a further 700 trees identified and labeled within the grounds.

Directions

• Exit M4 at Junction 17.
• Follow signs to "Chippenham".
• At next roundabout, pick up the signs for "A4 Calne". Follow signs for several miles, around and through Chippenham.
• Approx. 3-4 miles out of Chippenham, you will see a large white pub on the right hand side (Lysley Arms).

For Bowood House and Gardens

• Continue straight up the hill, it will be signed to Bowood House.
• Approx. ½ mile up, on brow of the hill, turn right into Derryhill village.
• continue for approx. 20 metres straight ahead you reach the sharp corner.
• Turn through the white gates, for Bowood House and Gardens.

For Bowood Rhododendron Walks

• Turn right on to the A342 (Devizes) approx. 100yds past this pub. It will be signed to Bowood Rhododendron Walks
• Continue for approx 2 miles and the Rhododendron Walks will be sign posted on your left.
